Along with that, the fabric used to create all of her pieces was the best available, like cashmere, silk, sheep wool. You should also keep in mind that the all the pieces were hand made in India.

The collection featured a use of embellishment and sequin, that was done in a minimalist and modern fashion. The scarves featured Swarovski crystals and the age old Indian technique of Danka. This is a very testament to the fact that Kala is true

French Student Week

Arriving at the gates of Comsats University and being welcomed by two girls was surely a good start.

As we walked towards the Centre of the campus, we could see skillful girls and guys busy working with their art work. Certainly everyone was busy drawing their best paintings. We could see balloons lined up on the corners of the garden . Groups of students were busy chatting , laughing and eating which filled up the open air environment.

While on the other side we could see super striking radio control cars being chased by their owners on a track. Watching them was real fun. Perhaps we could also hear loud music being played on a far end. After asking a couple of students of Comsats , we figured out that it was Pataal. Rock and roll bands were playing songs which gave it a good entertainment.

Pakistan's 1st music video shot by iPhone. It’s time to add “music video production” to the list.
Shooting a video for your band or solo project need not involve spending a lot of cash on gear or spending a lot of time learning video-specific terminology and techniques. Depending on what you want to achieve, you may now be able to make a promotional video using a mobile.

When I go shopping, I really don’t care what store I am in, whether it be name brand or not, but if something catches my eye, that’s what I would end up buying. I guess it’s my mother’s doing. LANVIN PETITE FALL WINTER 2013

FALL WINTER 2013

Fairy tale princesses and heroines, the Lanvin Petite collection for winter 2013 combines savoir faire with candy pink dreams, exactly right for little girls with very definite tastes.

Fabrics borrowed from the women's range and couture finishes combine with sequins and brightly coloured calicos to create a wardrobe for elegant little girls. The dresses in duchess satin "like the big girls", are decorated with delightful roses at the waist or on the shoulder. And to brave the winter cold what could be better than a red double sided jersey coat with tone on tone lapels, just like Mummy's.

A gold seersucker scalloped jacket with three quarter length sleeves is adorned with subtle details, like the buttons sewn onto black edging. The red felt coat proclaims military style, softened withtrompe l'oeilscalloped edging closed with golden buttons. The splendid heather grey wool jersey coat is trimmed with fake fur at the neck and elbows, in a shape reminiscent of a cape with flared back; proportions borrowed from the emblematic models in the runway shows.

But the T-shirt and jeggings look looks immature at best and vulgar at worst. Let’s not even talk about meggings.

I have tried to swim against all tides to be the way I am, I am myself, no one the fuck can tell me what to do, I walk my own way.. I hate following presets… the pseudo two face plastic society we live in, I have a middle finger for them, although I am pretty social but at some point or the other, all the pretentious fakeness pouring outta their faces makes me puke sometimes… ;) by profession, i am into creative, music is sheer passion and will never be a profession for me.

Hary Belial's (Interview)

Name : Haroon
Nickname: Hary
DOB : 12 Feb 1988
Favourite quote: People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.
Tell us a bit about yourself Hary?
I guess I had sucha horrible life growing up, going from place to place not knowing what I was gonna do. There was a lotta pain & anger that's coming out through my guitar playing and when you're hurt & scared for so long, the fear & pain turn to hate & the hate starts to change the world.
How old were you when you first played guitar?
I think my mum bought me my first guitar when I was 13-14 and my fingers'd not go to the sixth string so I took off the big E and played with just five strings(laughs).
What was the first guitar you ever owned?
I think that's Kona acoustic. The time I broke my guitar it was like a sacrifice. You sacrifice the things you love. R.I.P. Kona! See you in Hell(laughs).

The Evolution of Shalwar Kameez since 2006

Remember those fluffy sleeves your mum would wear during the late eighties? or the extremely loose and long kameez during the nineties? The national dress of Pakistan has gone through so many changes over the years that it is hard to remember them all. What happens now is that every new style I tell my mum about gets a reply "Ohh yes, this was in fashion during your mamu's/my wedding.

Therefore I bring you a little memory down the lane. A little reminiscing about what were the trends since 2006. How the dress has gone through drastic changes in seven years only! Ready for the roller coaster ride? One, two, three, LEGO!

2006- EXTREMELY short kameez with patiala shalwar

haha how many of you remember this? I remember how I wanted as short as possible kameez. A kameez could be made from any left over piece of cloth. And also, everything a girl would just bend a little, everyone would get a glimpse the shalwar's crotch part *flinches*. Hope this fashion does not make a comeback anytime soon.

When did you first realize you wanted to become a hair stylist and how did you start it?
I was in London with my mother and father and I remember we were walking around Christopher place. And I saw some really cool looking guys and girls walk out onto the street. But my passion was such that I still played on it and learned how to control my bends. So hats off to it no matter how bad it was.

The End of the ‘Shaheed’ Era and Family Politics?

Democracy can be clarified as:

Government of people, elected by people, for people. But it’s the fourth time the natives of Pakistan elected PPPP (Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian) which was formed by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was accused being the murderer of the innocent and got the fruits of his deeds that he was hanged to death in Rawalpindi. The result is pretty much known to the natives of Pakistan  and eventually to the whole world ,what they have given us between these five considerable years.Their constant quotation ROTI, KAPRA, MAKKAN – but we would ask you, have they delivered the three primarily necessities  rather we got deprived of these necessities.

Benazir being elected in the 90’s election twice between which she was exiled, as well as she was bound to house arrest and she started living in England with her kids. Despite the reasons of being exile was none less then the party itself being the most corrupt. Perhaps, the Bhutto family was not apart of the fight against the British government for independence. Nor had they seen the immense struggle of those who participated for the Independence reminiscent of, the father of the nation, Quaid-E-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan, Fatimah Jinnah etc. Furthermore the blood sheds of our fore-fathers who were innocent yet to profess their lives according to the ISLAM which they and we still consider as a complete code of life.
