Ans: We actually are students, Not fully professional musicians, We ( Talha.A, Talha.Y ) have been friends way before we were any close to making music.
How was the group formed?
Ans: Group was formed a year
back, While I ( Talha Anjum ) was in U.K , As you may know that Talhah Yunus's
mother is no more among us, He wanted to make a tribute song to her and wanted
me to feature in, That is how we decided to work together again and form our
own band alongside Zion Nathan ( A rapper and an old friend ).
Young stunners a very unique
name, who came up with this name and is there any reason behind it?
Haha, It's classy, Talha
Anjum came up with it. Stunners actually goes for guys who do stuff that
attracts people, You know, which makes people look at you, or make them talk to
you. And we're Young, of course. So that is how it came up.
Burger e Karachi a great
success, were you guys expecting this much appreciation from your fans ?
As our target audience is
mostly students and teenagers, people like us. We were expecting appreciation,
But not exactly what we got. Back in studio we were like, ' yeah it's a pretty
good thing, It'll work''. The next thing you know is we are topping the charts
for Pakistan, Doesn't matter if it's Hip Hop or any other chart. We be stunning
everywhere. I heard people listening to it in cars and gyms and Sheesha bars.
it was all over.
What is burger e karachi
about, does it portrays any message?
First of all, It is not a
diss song to any other artist, secondly It is a lyrical image of what people
are like nowadays. we are describing a society in which you are judged for what
you wear, what you eat,Where you hang out and how much money your dad makes in
a month. I've taken names of different colleges and schools which are well know
for having brats like these. But the best part is those brats Love it, Haha.
Who writes the lyrics? And who
is the most creative in the group ?
Every artist writes
lyrics for himself, We do help each other with words. If you talk about
creativity in Lyrics, It has to be Talha Anjum, he comes up with pretty
difficult words and rhymes very quickly. if you ask about creativity in music,
It has to be our man Umair Khan, he is a genius, a musician who has knowledge
about music. He doesn't only listens to music, he studies it.
Which country would you like
to go for performance and why?
Well, It has to be U.K, I have
family in UK and they say people play it in the gym and restaurant , That is
exactly the type of music Pakistani teenagers listen to,Rap music. And nothing
is better than when It's in their very own language Urdu.
What are your raps usually
about ?
We rap about things we
see around, We absorb from the society. Burger-e-Karachi, Fikar-e-Akhirat. We
say what we see.
Any upcoming projects?
Ans: Lot of projects, projects
that We cannot disclose right now.
But people will love it. That is a promise,
But people will love it. That is a promise,
What’s the best thing of being
famous?
We are famous? Haha. Well
I'll share a personal experience, I hang out alot, So boys who use to mean mug
me all the time now come up to me and are like ' Aur jaani kya haal hain? baray
hit hogaye ho. So the best thing about being famous is you earn a lot of
respect among people. But most importantly you have to give it back too.
After being famous who has
started getting more bachyan ?
Now that is the question I was
waiting for. Haha, We haven't calculated yet, We'll do it after our next
performance. Lets see who has his pocket full of cell phone numbers. Haha.
Funniest/Embarrassing moment
ever at a performance?
Funniest? Umm. In Nixor
college, When Talha Anjum was doing his Burger-e-Karachi's verse. He pointed
out at a guy with a pretty good afro standing with his friends and said ' Oye
Burger, Jaa Ke Apna Mu Tou Dho' . To be honest, the guy disappeared.
Any message for your fans?
Umm. I'd just say Hey guys,
Thanks for the lovely lovely support, There was a time when we were nothing but
now we are something you would like to listen to, Firstly because we have
supporters like you and secondly because we do what we feel like doing, we do
what we feel is real. So stay real,Play hard, keep your eyes open and watch out
for Young Stunners, Thanks!
