Inspirations: The rhythm of the beats in Punjabi music, the rich culture of Punjab, the warmhearted Punjabis and their hospitality, the colors, the food, the stunning Punjabi women with their beautiful clothes and jewelries, the legendary love stories of Punjab, the respect for elderly people, the Mela’s and getting to know about so many different religions and values – including all the rituals and ceremonies I have experienced while living more than four years in Punjab. Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am born and raised in Denmark, just outside Copenhagen, and became deeply inspired by my dad’s singing and playing the guitar. So from 7 and onwards I sang in the school chorus and quickly realized that my passion in life was singing. I joined the Girl’s chorus of Radio Denmark from I was 13 years old and, had years of classical singing training and began singing professionally from 15 onwards. In London I got my formal education from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduated in 2001 with a musical theatre degree. My singing career has taken me around the world and I love being able to live out my dream.

Favorite quote:

“Be patient and strong, one day this pain will be useful to you”

“A tiger doesn’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep”

Your sense of style?
I would say my style is more Rocker Chic mixed with a bit of anything else that catches my attention (and other’s attention too)! I definitely love the black leather jackets, spikes, high heels, studded leggings/jeans and crazy earrings! Accessory wise, I don’t like to wear too much. As I mentioned before I like the crazy earrings and, depending on how I feel I may add a giant ring on one hand.
Brand freak or street smart?
I have never been one to be interested, so to speak, in brand names. When I go shopping, I really don’t care what store I am in, whether it be name brand or not, but if something catches my eye, that’s what I would end up buying. I guess it’s my mother’s doing. She always told me as a kid, “It doesn’t matter where you purchase your clothes so long as you like it and it looks damn good on you”!

Did MSc Psychology from Peshawar University and chose photography as a profession.  Being only female photographer in the field was beneficial and a tough job at the same time.  At that time there was no institute to learn and I chose “learning by doing” method. I have done thousands of bridal and couple shoots during these years and this journey have never stopped. Currently I am loving my experience of working with best wedding photographers of London.  Member of “Society of wedding & portrait photographers”.  It feels good to have a chance to learn new skills by attending photography seminars with world’s  recognized photographer.
