GIKI Innovation Summit

"Le Spectra being announced as the Official Web/Media Partner for GIKI Innovation Summit 2013"

IET GIKI Chapter since its conception aimed at tapping the skills of students in the field of Engineering, Medicine and Business. It did not just arrange competitions and conferences so that students from all over Pakistan could gather at a platform and shared their knowledge but ensured that they were made aware of the very important role they students play in the development of the country. By continuing its legacy, IET GIKI Chapter is very proud in organizing GIKI Innovation Summit 2013, a unique event that has almost everything.
GIKI Innovation Summit 2013 will commence on 29th November 2013 and will continue for three days. The venue for the event will be GIK Institute. This event targets Universities, Colleges and School all across the nation so that no one is deprived of positive learning. Other than technical side of the event, IET GIKI Chapter has also planned few social events so that participants could enjoy their stay at GIK Institute.

The month of June is packed with a great many 'International Days'. There's World Environment Day and International Fathers' Day,two well known anniversaries. But not only these two there’s also World Music Day, celebrated on June 21 every year, a day that's dedicated to indigenous and tribal rhythms across nations and their influence on mainstream music.

Kuch Khaas brings you a special edition of Filmi Shilmi: the screening of SIYAAH, and meet members of the CAST and CREW of Pakistan's first mainstream horror movie!
Join us for a special Q&A after the screening, and you can ask all your burning questions about this spine-chilling thriller.

SIYAAH is the tale of a modern family haunted by their own disbelief. Scripted by Osman Khalid Butt, the story will keep you at the edge of your seat. This one is not for the faint-hearted!

SIYAAH was released nationwide on 15th March, 2013. It ran for a whole month, and managed to beat the record for a number of Bollywood and Hollywood productions released at the same time. It was directed by Azfar Jafri, and produced by Imran Raza Kazmi.

Hunar Entrepreneurs Pakistan in collaboration with Le Spectra have planned for you an amazing Multi designer launch/exhibition on 22nd June for the ladies to spend some money and look at various dresses by various talented designers. The exhibition is basically for the the upcoming designers from Pakistan to showcase their designs to public and get appreciated for what they deserve.

Roots College International in collaboration with The Leading Edge - TLE and Le Spectra have planned for you an amazing night on 14th June, right after the exams for relaxation. The concert is basically a fund raising program for the emerging NGO Ehsaas Pakistan with the association of The Leading Edge & Le Spectra.

Lets get together, enjoy and find a way to bring a significant change in your Society.

Hunar Womem Entrepreneur Fashion Show and Exhibition

A great event to experience,really nicely done by Hunar creatives. A well managed fashion show with a touch of a live performance by a local band took place in Kuch Khas on 13th of April. There was great atmosphere and toppping it up with clouds and cold breeze. Some famous and renowned artist/writer/storyteller were a part of this event namely MRS.NIGAR,who was also the chief guest for the evening.

Starting of with the host who was full of gupshup,masti and a spice of laughter,the models resembling beautiful butterflies with pretty charming looks,the designers from all over pakistan were there to showcase their work with great artwork and catchy creativeness on clothes,the audience cheering up and supporting every model and designer and of course how can we forget the media fully charged and freezing every single moment of the evening in their cameras!! A great round of applause for Hunar Entrepreneur Pakistan for making this event a memorable one, for providing the new talent a platform and for making people aware of their goals and good cause minds!

You are the president of PSA UTM tell us a bit about yourself and PSA. What is PSA and what is its purpose etc?
PSA is a student group that aims to socially engage Pakistani Students from different colleges and universities in an attempt to bring out the Pakistani culture together in a foreign land. We try to bring together students in different types of events, which allows us to network with them while also allowing the students to meet fellow Pakistani students. With that being said, PSA also aims to promote the cultures and traditions of Pakistan in a way where we are not forcing it upon our members but having them embrace it and respect it.
What is needed to be the president of PSA UTM?
Being President of PSA is a fulltime job. I worked several years as an executive of the club before being chosen to become president. To be a PSA president or a president of any club for that matter, one needs to have a vision and be ready for innovation. Change is what we strive upon in this world and as the president of PSA, setting standards is important making sure that you are leading by example. That is the first thing needed to be a president. However, I have always believed that one man cannot bring change, it has to be through a combined effort and I am lucky enough to work with people who understand my vision and help me achieve that.
Do you let PSA effect your studies and how do you manage your studies, work and PSA altogether?
At one point, PSA did have an impact on my studies and work, but it is really critical to maintain a balance that I was able to do throughout my university days. Managing your time is key to a successful combination of doing everything you want and I am glad I have always been able to manage and prioritize my time right.
If someone wants to join PSA UTM then what do they have to do?
Joining PSA is not the hardest thing to do out there. but we do expect everyone to volunteer with us, get to know our organization and how it works. Then they are elected to become executives and become part of the team. we are always welcoming to bright young Pakistanis who wish to become a part of our team.

Hunar Women Entrepreneurs brings you a multi-designers' launch at Kuch Khaas on the 13 of April 2013 to encourage and support women from across Pakistan to showcase their creativity and in hopes to raise funds for the children of a make shift school in a slum located at F-6, Islamabad.

Watch budding designers from across Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta) as they exhibit their work for the first time on the ramp.

Hunar is a platform for women designers and entrepreneurs.
Since 2009, they have been working for the promotion of women entrepreneurs’ though group exhibitions, workshops and fashion shows. Their strong belief in sharing and caring inspired them to organise events with a social cause.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

PSA UTM is back yet again with another one of a kind event. We have continued our surge into unfamiliar territories by continuing to surprise you with new kinds of events throughout this year. From our CPPA networking night to our Masquerade Ball, from our Antakshari to our unique Theatrical Wafa-e-Watan (brought to you originally by PSA), we have won many hearts this year with our innovative and brilliant ideas. It is time for something different again, don't you think so?

Therefore we randomly decided that now we are going to take this to a completely unmatched and unimagined level by bringing Internationally recognized Pakistani Pop Music Sensation Bilal Khan to UTM - YES! You heard that right, in our very own backyard!

Bilal Khan needs no introduction as he continues to build a strong reputation for himself and his music at home in Pakistan as well as abroad. He continues to be one of the most inspiring and magical singers to come out from Pakistan in recent times. Some of his songs such as Bachana and Tou Kia Hua have received numerous accolades while his albums have taken many by surprise with their audacity and the soulful music that he plays with the majestic lyrics that he comes up with. He performed at the annual PSA FORMAL 2013 where he became the talk of the town with his first appearance on Canadian soil. He absolutely mesmerized the crowd that night. On popular demand from the crowd that night and those who missed that show, we have worked hard and managed to bring him back, but this time on university soil for a bigger and better performance. Join Us As We take you on an adventurous trip to the world's second largest salt mine,
KHEWRA SALT MINES ! which is a major tourist attraction as well as an artistic craving.
As we go deeper into the mine we find pools of salty water along with replica's of important pieces of architecture made entirely out of colored salt bricks. You may also find an entire hospital and medical wards made out of salt as well as other beautiful artistic attractions.

Rebuke Events Present Rock & Rap "Review"

A great, catchy event organized my rebuke management featuring Arsalan and Fadi. The event took place in a perfect open air lounge of vostro club. Crowd mainly comprised of young supporters who enjoyed and cheered a lot for the very best and talented Arsalan asif and Fadi gujjar. . Our team le spectra were there to cover the event, beautiful weather with light breeze made the crowd to enjoy the event. . as the whole event/concert was a hit success in terms of performances, crowd, security, dj, and off course one of the best environment.
