PSA UTM is back yet again with another one of a kind event. We have continued our surge into unfamiliar territories by continuing to surprise you with new kinds of events throughout this year. From our CPPA networking night to our Masquerade Ball, from our Antakshari to our unique Theatrical Wafa-e-Watan (brought to you originally by PSA), we have won many hearts this year with our innovative and brilliant ideas. It is time for something different again, don't you think so?
Therefore we randomly decided that now we are going to take this to a completely unmatched and unimagined level by bringing Internationally recognized Pakistani Pop Music Sensation Bilal Khan to UTM - YES! You heard that right, in our very own backyard!
Bilal Khan needs no introduction as he continues to build a strong reputation for himself and his music at home in Pakistan as well as abroad. He continues to be one of the most inspiring and magical singers to come out from Pakistan in recent times. Some of his songs such as Bachana and Tou Kia Hua have received numerous accolades while his albums have taken many by surprise with their audacity and the soulful music that he plays with the majestic lyrics that he comes up with. He performed at the annual PSA FORMAL 2013 where he became the talk of the town with his first appearance on Canadian soil. He absolutely mesmerized the crowd that night. On popular demand from the crowd that night and those who missed that show, we have worked hard and managed to bring him back, but this time on university soil for a bigger and better performance. Bilal Khan is not the only attraction of this marvelous night. You are about to witness something magical and something you will never forget. The PSA UTM team has put together a mammoth musical extravaganza for you at Umeed. All of us feel close to music because it helps us switch off and zone out from the troubles of daily life. As close as we are to music, we are delighted to bring you local performers for this event who will be singing to different genres of music and tunes all night - with a Pakistani touch to it. Some of these are sure to be unique performances never witnessed at any other show or event. Yes! We are taking this to a new level! and we mean it when we say this!
All the events that we attend have a big musical aspect attached to them and noone can deny the fact that Music and Pakistani culture go hand in hand. Therefore we decided to scrap all the unnecessary things and have one evening where you come in to listen to classical music, slow music, pop Pakistani music, Desi style R&B and many more exciting ways in which Music in Pakistan and music on the whole has evolved. How music has become part of "Humari Pehchaan" as Pakistanis is what we aim to prove on this evening - something never done before. To Top off an amazing evening, we will have Bilal Khan singing your worries away!
Local Performers will include a battle of the bands between 3 local bands from 3 different universities. Their identities are kept secret for now but we will be releasing them with their teaser videos in the upcoming month - another reason to log in on Facebook during exam time. YES! We are making exam time that much more exciting for you!
