Study/professional background?
Masters in Mass Communication, worked for tv for a decade, now into advertising.. working as Director Creatives for Mercury Transformations. Into design, animation, compositing, special effects, campaign design and a lot of other shit that comes with it…
Tell us a bit about yourself? 
I have tried to swim against all tides to be the way I am, I am myself, no one the fuck can tell me what to do, I walk my own way.. I hate following presets… the pseudo two face plastic society we live in, I have a middle finger for them, although I am pretty social but at some point or the other, all the pretentious fakeness pouring outta their faces makes me puke sometimes… ;) by profession, i am into creative, music is sheer passion and will never be a profession for me.
You could be said as “a beast on the drums”, is this phrase enough to describe you?
I find release in beating the shit outta skins especially when live… yeah I don’t have to push too hard to be called that, I just do my thing for my own kick, let the people label whatever they want.. no one owes me anything and vice versa.
You are currently playing with Qayaas, how is it working with Khurram and Umair?
It’s a nice experience, KW is a very senior guitar player and a heavy riffage monster, Umair needs no introduction, it has always been great fun sharing the stage and the studios with them.

You have massive respect in the underground industry of Pakistan being mainstream how does it feel? 
Hahaha… Do we even have an underground community? anyhow, We were among the initiators of the death metal scene in Pakistan with my band Autopsy Gothic in which I used to growl, later I did a project called HELL DORMANT and released a DM album serve our blades… I have also played with Aman in Mobrulz and my main band in Karachi is still the heaviest death metal outfit that ever existed – KARACHI BUTCHER CLAN… with leslie, biki and kami… till death, we’ll keep the torch burning and will pass it on to our younger generations to come… and here id like to add something, underground is underground because its not everywhere, if its on the tv and radio among ali zafar and arieb type artists, whats the point in calling it underground? We cant be and shouldn’t even try to be stars here… although thanks to anyone who thinks of me with respect. ;) \,,/
Which other instrument can you play well else than drums?
I can play bass, a bit of guitar too, I can fuck around with any instrument depending on the feel I’m in…
Are there enough good drummers in Pakistan? 
Hell yeah, I have seen solid rock drummers turn into faggots on screen, but there are and have been nice
drummers here… starting from freddy’s brother, to fahad khan, Kaiser, Adnan(Eddie), some new kids on the block and some old ones that I cant recall… don’t count me in the list.
Not only qayaas but you have also been affliated with a lot media things, whats the story behind that?
I worked for music channels, had been doing music since 97… I guess that’s why, I don’t push it, it just happens that I always end up landing and crashing events, I love it LOUD and I guess im pretty much that and which makes it a little hard to digest by all.

Yeah we had put down shit loads of stuff in the studios, almost 2 albums worth stuff is ready. Its on in a way.
