Muhammad Ali (Interview)

Name: Muhammad Ali
Nikname: Bao (I know its weird)
DOB: 1rst May, 1996
Tell us something about yourself?
The name's Ali, recently completed my O ' levels. I've been singing since I can remember. The only thing that appeals to me when I'm melancholic is a hot cup of coffee and my guitar. I love all sorts of creativity; music, art etc. My dream is to reach to a position where it would be hard for me to listen to my own voice while singing. ( Heavy crowd cheering.)
Any inspiration in this field of music?
Nusrat fateh Ali khan, Muhammad Rafi, Alamgir, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Junaid jamshaid, Ali Azmat and Abdullah Qureshi (Recently added).
How did you get started with all this?
My Maamu took a detour from his normal routine and came to our place. He convinced my father to buy me a guitar. Thus, my music originates from there. I owe my Father and Mother BIG time. If it weren't for them, I'd still be only a bookworm.

Maliha Abbas (Interview)

Name: Maliha Abbas
Nickname: Mala
DOB: 11/11/1995
Favorite quote: Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
Inspirations: No one inspires me.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a self-taught artist and a photographer. Art and photography is in my blood I guess because my father is a fantastic artist and photographer even though he is not an artist or a photographer by profession. I am a positive person and I believe no one needs a teacher for anything! I mean think about it, everything was created by someone who didnt had a teacher to teach em and thats why i try to figure out things on my own. Allah has blessed us with that ability.
You could be said as an all in one art package, ever got a compliment like this and how do you feel about it?
I get that a lot actually. I am glad to hear that of course but I do what I love and when you love something you do it to the best of your ability and that’s what I try doing with art and photography.
Is a person born artistic or does he/she develops the skills as the time passes?
Personally I feel that a person is born an artist. Art is a thing that no one can learn and no one can teach. People can help and suggest what to draw and how to draw but art is more than a technique of drawing stuff. I think some parts of art can be learned like drawing but painting and other stuff is a talent that one is born with.
How long have you been drawing, painting or doing any sort of art for?
Art has been a part of my life since I was a little girl, I actually don’t even remember how long has it been since I fell in love with art.

How did you got into photography stuff?
Camera has always been around me. My father never missed any special moment that he didn’t capture. He always handed me his camera and guided how to take a better shot. We rather held competitions on capturing the same subject and then would compare.” Nah, mine is better”, I would brag and he would appreciate it. In my college days I insisted on a better camera phone because it was handy. I took loads of pictures. Random clicks of EVERYTHING! I never thought of going bigger. And then my husband bought me this DSLR last year and I haven’t put it down since. It opened a whole new dimension of seeing and capturing.
What type of photography attracts you the most?
Candid portraits, street photography, moments of everyday life.
